This year is off to a great start!

I'm working on several searches for a variety of companies, and proving every day that the traditional model of recruiting, limiting oneself to one particular type of search, industry, or specialty doesn't need to be the only way one can be effective!

I'm working on IT jobs - Software Engineers for Python and Coldfusion for a company in greater Boston;

I'm working on Audit jobs at various levels up to a Director of IT audit for a Fortune 500 company in New Jersey

I'm working on Regulatory Affairs Management position for a Pharmaceutical company in New Jersey

I'm working on both Analog and Digital Electrical Engineering positions in greater Boston, including a major Manager position with huge responsiblities - and paycheck!

If you know of anyone that might be interested in any of these, I've instituted a very generous referral rewards program. Send me an email to learn more about how by helping me succeed, you can also aid your favorite charity!

Back to the phones...

There are some recruiters who just focus very, very narrowly. I take more of a generalist view of things, believing that if you have a strong ability to research and network, you can find whoever you need these days. I'm looking for other recruiters to join me as independent contractors... to work virtually, to share resources, insights, and, ultimately revenue. If you - or someone you know - might be interested, please contact me: fertig@cstreetsearch.com.

Focus for today: I'm going to segment my time today three ways - 1) Seeking Electrical Engineers with R&D Analog circuit design experience for my Consumer Electronics company; 2) Seeking people with either ColdFusion or Python programming experience for two searches for my colleague, Rich; 3)Taking some time to hone my own skills at website development. I've now got a version of the newest Adobe suite of applications, and just have to spend the next 20 years figuring them all out. :-)

If you happen to come across this blog, I'd appreciate your letting me know... I wonder if I'm just writing to myself, or if anyone actually if finding/reading my musings.

Cheers.

Arnie

Today I worked on what's called a "split" assignment. A colleage of mine who has his own company asked me to help him fill three openings at a Newton, MA startup internet company:

So.... I turned on a dime, did some quick research, and was able to find four candidates - two for a Network/Systems Administrator position, and two more for a Senior Website Developer position. This last one is a real priority, and I'm still on the hunt for people with a background in ColdFusion or Python... if you hear of anyone in the Boston area, let me know and maybe I can help further their career. Feel free to email me directly at: fertig@cstreetsearch.com.

That's all for now... it's time to make my wife some apple crisp.

Welcome to my first blog!

Several colleagues have told me that I can't live without blogging... I live, therefore  I blog!  I own my own recruiting company, Centre Street Associates, Inc., and I'm hoping that this blog can be the intersection of clients, potential and real candidates, and anyone else with an interest in the recruiting profession.

I'm currently working on a particularly interesting - and challenging search for an Electrical Engineer for a very high level R&D team in a very well respected consumer electronics company.  The successful candidate will have to have solid experience designing analog circuits in the consumer electronics area (not interested in people who have been doing independent contracting, or working on designs for military equipment).  In addition, this client values highly people with a very solid academic background.

Last month I placed one person at this company - it was really a great fit for both sides, and I'd like to fill two more openings (same job description) this month...

If anyone can make a referral to me of someone who would be a great candidate, who can get hired, and will accept the position, I'll be happy to either pay a "finder's fee" of $500.00 or make a $750 contribution to the charity of that person's choice.  The only catch is this: the charity must be a recognized, non-religious, tax-exempt organization anywhere in the United States.  The finder's fee or contribution will be paid at the time I receive my commission from my client.

So... let me hear from you!

What would you like to see this blog become?

What can I do to find my ideal analog electrical engineering candidates?

What else would you like to know about me?

Enough about me... tell me about you, and how I can help you find the talent you need, or the job you deserve!
